AMSEA and the drill conductor trainers from Jacksonville are putting on another Drill Conductor Training on Saturday, November 7, 8am to 8pm, in Mayport.
Cost is $50.00 for Commercial Fishermen, $175.00 for others.

Atlantic Beach, FL – F/V Drill Conductor Workshop
AMSEA is conducting a one day Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor Training Course in Atlantic Beach, FL on November 7, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This course meets the US Coast Guard drill conductor requirements for fishing vessels.
Instructors Nancy Jones and Mike Adams will cover these topics:
* Cold water survival skills
* EPIRBs, flares, and maydays
* Man overboard recovery
* Fire fighting
* Immersion suits and PFDs
* Emergency drills
* Helicopter rescue
* Life rafts
* Abandon ship procedures
* In-the-water practice session
This workshop is offered at a reduced cost of $50 to commercial fishermen (thanks to support form NIOSH) and $175 for all others. All mariners are welcome!
The course will be conducted at the Mayport Presbyterian Church 1300 Palmer St.
