F/V Drill Conductor Workshop in Chauvin, LA

Get the training you need to survive emergencies at sea!

AMSEA instructor, Kim Chauvin, is conducting an AMSEA 10-Hour Drill Conductor Workshop in Chauvin, Louisiana on January 19, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  This course meets the US Coast Guard drill conductor requirements for fishing vessels.

The workshop will cover these topics:

  • Cold water survival skills
  • EPIRBs, flares, and maydays
  • Man overboard recovery
  • Fire fighting
  • Immersion suits and PFDs
  • Emergency drills
  • Helicopter rescue
  • Life rafts
  • Abandon ship procedures

The cost for this workshop is $100 per person to be paid in full 2 weeks before class. This will be non-refundable unless we have to change the date. You must sign up and pay before attending the class.
