Use of Electronic Charts and Publications in Lieu of Paper Charts, Maps and Publications

Good Day,
Coast Guard Assistant Commandant for Prevention Policy has released “Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) No. 01-16” addressing the use of electronic sources for navigating on US Vessels not on international voyages. Please read carefully to insure you can meet the intent of the guidance.  You can also find it at http://www.uscg.mil/hq/cg5/nvic/pdf/2016/NVIC_01-16_electronic_charts_and_publications.pdf.
